This statement is issued in response to the inquiry raised by Jay Allison regarding compensation for time spent with our company.
Company Policy — Working Interviews
The meeting held was a working interview conducted to assess skills and compatibility for a potential position with Liquid Porcelain Dealers. As clearly communicated during our initial contact, compensation only applies once an applicant is hired and begins the formal training program.
Since Jay Allison did not move forward into the training phase of the program, there is no "show-up fee," day rate, or balance of any kind owed. The purpose of a working interview is to give both parties the opportunity to assess fit — it is not a paid engagement.
We are sorry for any misunderstanding that may have occurred. However, our position on this matter is final and consistent with established company policy.
Our position is final. No payment is owed for the working interview day. This decision is based on company policy as communicated prior to and during our initial contact. We wish Jay Allison the very best in his job search.
